Angela Stathi is an experienced Advisor, Executive and Non-Executive Director Chair in the fields of youth, technology, sustainability, finance, energy, and health where she advises private, public listed companies and multilateral organisations on strategy and growth needs inter alia: the European Commission's European Innovation Council (EIC), the United Nations Development Program, Digital Boost and the Greek House Davos and others. A former financial services professional Angela worked for global asset managers (Schroders and BNP Paribas) and credit rating agencies (Moody’s and Fitch) where she built new departments and teams and worked on transformational projects including product innovation. With her passion to help transform people’s lives and economies for the past 3 years, Angela advised organisations’ executive team, board, partners, investors and clients on how to build their vision, mission and strategy with a focus on organisational development, social and environmental impact, product innovation and growth. As a Non-Executive Chair at the Digital Boost, Angela supports the Board, and the Digital Boost executive team with their mission to help companies grow through expert matching mentoring sessions. As an Advisor to scaleup at the European Commission's European Innovation Council, Angela advises companies in circular desalination, HealthTech, disaster and environmental risk management and GreenTech. As a Charity Trustee at a school, Angela helps young people achieve their potential through education and play. Through the School’s Learning Fund, Angela helped develop an open-air theatre, the refurbishment of the library, science, arts and music room. As a Global Policy Youth Expert for the UNDP Angela supports the implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda addressing youth-specific needs in entrepreneurship and education. As an Advisor to the Greek House Davos, Angela participated in discussions related to climate change and gender equality matters. During her MBA Angela held the position of CEO at Reload Greece, a business accelerator where she helped develop early-stage ventures and founders to become investment-ready. As the spokesperson, Angela liaised with investors, philanthropists, and the private and public sectors to help companies raise £20m+ investments and create 400+ new jobs. During her time as CEO, Angela co-founded Global Tech Connect in London, an innovation hub supporting tech companies and UK bilateral organisations across Europe looking to develop in the UK. An advocate for DEI, Technology and Innovation, Women’s interest in Leadership and ESTEAM professions in 2021, 2022 and 2023 Angela participated in the UN’s 65th, 66th and 67th Commission on the Status of Women and she was elected Ambassador of the EU Women ESTEAM Program; an initiative created by the European Commission and ran by Deloitte aimed to boost women and girls' digital & entrepreneurial competencies across the EU. Born in Brazil to Greek parents and raised in Brazil, Greece, France, and the UK, Angela has a very multicultural and multilingual upbringing. She is fluent in multiple languages including English, French, Portuguese and Greek and has a good understanding of multicultural dynamics. Angela is an MBA graduate from London Business School and a BA graduate in International Business from the University of Brighton. A Rising Women Leaders Scholar from Cambridge Judge Business School and a Luma Certificated Practitioner in Human-Centered Design Thinking, Angela recently completed the FT Board of Directors Non-Executive Director Diploma, a formally accredited, post-graduate level qualification for current and aspiring non-executive directors where she had a particular interest in ESG, Corporate Social Responsibility, Cybersecurity and DEI matters.
