Dr. Kate Anolue, revered as 'Aunty Kate,' an icon in Enfield London, famed for her profound dedication and community service. . She worked in NHS for 40years, and has over 30 years’ hospital/community midwifery experience, delivered over a thousand babies. Kate has a wealth of knowledge in many social and health issues that are prevalent in the communities and a domestic abuse advocate. Kate has over twenty years’ experience in Local Government. 1n 2019 Kate became the first Nigerian/African to be Mayor twice in same Borough. She introduced for the first time in Enfield the Young Mayor and Deputy Young Mayor, one of the outcomes of her ‘Catch Them Young’ project. The Young Mayor has been a good role model for the young people; they visit schools and attend community events, empowering young people like themselves. Kate has received many Awards, which includes Honorary Doctorate for Global Leadership and Humanity from Academy of Universal Global Peace (AUGP) USA. Also Honorary Freedom of The London Borough of Enfield in 2007; “this is the highest honour that is conferred to individual in recognition of the long and invaluable service to the Community and their outstanding contribution to the voluntary sector in the Borough”.
