Dr. Yetty Oyinlola Ogunnubi is a esteemed leader in brand development, public relations, and marketing, earning her reputation as CEO of The YD Company, a leading hybrid public relations firm in Lagos that recently won AI Business Excellence Award as the Most Unique PR & Communications Agency in 2023. With almost two decades of experience under her belt, she has devoted herself to being a key figure in the hospitality, fashion, arts, and corporate sectors. Dr. Yetty’s skill set spans strategic PR, marketing, creative image branding, project management, and event coordination. She continues to lead successful publicity projects for SMEs, corporate entities, and governments alike with unparalleled finesse, promoting both emerging and established brands in her field. Alongside her tremendous career path, Dr. Yetty holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Brand Strategy & Communication (Honoris Causa) and is a distinguished fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM MCIM). In addition, she has been certified as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Certified Management Specialist (CMS) from the renowned London Graduate School. Her expertise has positioned her as a member in the Fellow Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). Dr. Yetty’s love and passion for creativity stems from her upbringing in Lagos State, Nigeria. Born into a family of artists specializing in exterior decorating and art, her interest in fashion was sparked during her time in London, where she spearheaded numerous successful fashion projects and contributed as a writer and editor for prestigious fashion magazines in the UK. Her artistic abilities, however, span beyond fashion design, with her illustrations appearing in book covers, products, and various art projects. She is a co-producer of the award-winning reality TV show, Uber Africa Unmasked UK, which focuses on discovering the next African-inspired design sensation. She has also assumed the role of communications director for Africa Fashion Week London and Nigeria. In 2016, Dr. Yetty founded her own agency, YD, to cater to growing requests for branding and PR expertise. Not only does Dr. Yetty use her skills for branding and PR to aid in her field, but she has also devoted herself to giving back to the community by being a Trustee Director for the ELOY Foundation of the ELOY Awards and a member of the Board of Trustees for the PLCEW by Pride Magazine. Her passion for mentoring young professionals has also led her to found the YD Foundation. She was honored with the Pride of Africa Award at the 2018 PFW Africa Event and received the ForeMag PR Person of the Year Award in the same year.
