Edith is a Global Gender Equality, Diversity and Social Inclusion specialist. A seasoned human rights lawyer, and leader with 20 years of experience promoting GESI in development programs in highly political context including, sensitive conflict environments in over 30 Sub-Saharan Africa and Arab states. She is passionate about equality and is driven by a desire to see inclusivity of all in her lifetime. She is well-versed in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with first-hand experience with empirical studies, research synthesis, and systematic reviews in organizations to tap into opportunities and effectively achieve value for their investments and create Sustainable Impact. Her extensive experience in capacity building has successfully equipped over 3000 staff in various institutions. More recently, her tenure as a gender specialist with UNDP Global (BPPS) ,UNDP Iraq, UNDP Somalia and WFP Cameroon has enabled her to support with the implementation of SDG’s while mainstreaming gender in policies, strategies , action plans and programs. Moreover, she continues to facilitate transformative leadership sessions for Local governments, private sector, and public sector, and publications on women’s empowerment.. Edith holds a Masters’ in law (LLM): Human Rights , LLB and BSL , Dip in Leadership development and Dip in Gender studies.
