I was and always will be passionate about our planet, social justice and equality. I always knew my lived experience was thrust upon me for a reason and during lockdown in 2020 I felt compelled to write a book. It was life changing, my book Don’t Just Fly, Soar is a balm to so many souls. It has touched, healed and changed many lives in a dramatic way. In 2021 I established the SOAR award to encourage young students in Africa to find their voice. By encouraging the expressive pen I have set in motion the creation of confident future leaders. In 2022 I created a partnership to work with Lifeline Zululand to change local community outcomes in SA and bring hope to bleak conditions. In 2023 My manuscript entitled “Making Sage Decisions” was nominated for two Nobel prizes and I am confident that this book once launched will unravel change at personal, organizational and global levels. In my professional capacity I work in medical IT and the technology that I work with enhances clinical outcomes globally on a daily basis. For the last 30 years I have sponsored children via world vision. For the last 20 years I have supported families in Uganda, facilitated education opportunities and empowered parents to start self sustaining ventures. I have shattered numerous glass ceilings in my professional remit and personal brand YET I have to still scuffle for a seat at certain tables.
