Nimat is the VAWG Programme Manager for The London Community Foundation. She manages the strategic delivery of the specialist £3m Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Grassroots Fund, developed by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). As part of her role, she is also an Advisor to New Philanthropy Capital’s Open Philanthropy Programme. She joined the Foundation from a policy and strategy role in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire where she managed various policy areas and commissioned services within Serious and Organised Crime. She has also worked frontline at St Mungo’s, supporting young homeless people with complex needs. Nimat also volunteers for the Aga Khan Social Welfare Board as Chairperson of Communications. She will also be joining the Board a specialist grassroots organisation as their anti-trafficking Trustee.
